The Delaware & Ulster Railroad operates on about 18 miles of land locked track in Upstate New York from Highmont to Roxbury. Operations are out of Arkville, where the the D&U has their shops and station. Current operations operate from Arkville to Roxbury, a total of 11 miles.
In this Production we cover Arkville to Halcottsville. Halcottsville lies between Arkville and Roxbury, a total of 5 miles.
During early Fall 2017, the D&U hosted a special visit from steam locomotive Viscose #6, It operated for one weekend in late September. The #6 operated in classic fashion leading in both directions from Arkville to Halcottsville!
We captured the historic return of steam to the D&U in several scenic locations!
Also during this weekend, the Ontario & Western NW2 #116 made a comeback after a long absence! We capture the #116 pulling the "Rip Van Winkle Flyer" at scenic locations from Arkville to Roxbury, including meets with Viscose #6 in Halcottsville!!
