About The DVD:
Tehachapi is home to one of the most amazing railfan hotspots in Southern California. Located about 35 miles south-east of Bakersfield, the Tehachapi Loop hosts some tough railroading for crews from Union Pacific and Burlington Northern Santa Fe.
With sharp curves and steep grades, Engineers often use helper engines in both directions to get the trains through.
Blackstone River Production's film crew captured hours of footage in March and April of 2010 featuring action from in and around the loop. With the slow speeds the trains pull through the tracks at Tehachapi, viewers get a nice close look at the details of each car, engine and cab that goes by.
Following the Tehachapi filming, we chased a Work Extra down into Mojave at a few great locations as it slithered through the mountian and down into the desert. As a bonus, we also capture a few minutes of action from a private Cabless Alco working behind a chemical plant in downtown Mojave!
This is a DVD you don't want to miss.
